1 Bag of Mama Lycha Pinole (Corn Meal Mix)
1 Cup vegetable shortening
1 Cup wheat flour
1 Cup sugar
2 tablespoons baking powder
2 tablespoons cinnamon powder
1 tablespoon of powdered sugar
Salt
Beat the butter for a few minutes and then add the flour, sugar and pinole to the mixture and beat again.
Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and flatten it with a rolling pin.
Remove the dough from the plastic wrap and use the cookie cutter to cut the dough into portions.
Place each cookie on the cookie sheet and bake in the oven at 350° F for 15 minutes.
When the cookies are ready, decorate them with sugar on top.
don't leave the dough so flat if you want the cookies to be thicker.
